My Story
For the last 4 years I’ve been teaching online marketing strategies to thousands of entrepreneurs all around the world. With my 2 partners, I co-created an online membership website that hit $2.2 million dollars in revenue in our first 12 months from scratch, with a few hundred dollars, and a lot of sweat equity. That business continues to bring in over $4 million in revenue each year as we expand and develop new companies and projects.
But my journey to online success, was a long and stressful one, filled with tons of failure, bad decisions, and massive growing debt!
I’ve always been an entrepreneur. I had my first business in Grade 10 when my good friend and I purchased a screen printing press, and set up shop in my parents basement. It definitely wasn’t a huge success, but at least we didn’t loose our shirts. LOL.
At 19 I was first introduced to the network marketing industry, which ignited my passion for entrepreneurship and got me dreaming of being able to create wealth and abundance. I was already on a path to theatre school at the time, so I didn’t pursue any more business ventures until my mid 20′s.
I had met my future wife, we were living together in our first home, a tiny 860sq ft heritage house built in 1905 for just $109,000, and we were broke. We had a difficult time finding steady work, and were slowly racking up our credit cards. We were re-introduced to the network marketing industry which began the next 6 years of our journey into entrepreneurship.
That year, for over 6 months, my wife and I spent late nights, 14-16 hour days on the computer, trying every online money making strategy we could get our hands on. That was 2005. We literally accomplished nothing, except piling up a ridiculous amount of debt as we purchased every ebook and training we couldn’t afford. It was a depressing and stressful period of time.
After that failed attempt online, I went into sales, and then found my way back into network marketing. For the next 5 years I earned money selling everything from credit card terminals to cars. At the same time, I worked evenings and days off, driving around to coffee shops all over town trying to recruit new distributors into my organization. I made a few hundred dollars during that time in network marketing, and although most people would look at it as wasted time, I actually look back at those years and see how much I grew and developed my sales, presentations, communication and leadership skills.
I dove into personal development, studying peak performance, success principles, and the mindset of successful entrepreneurs.
In 2007, I quit selling cars, and decided to take an opportunity to expand a young company into my area. It was an educational company that taught a very unique investing strategy which produced results. The training was solid, but the company knew nothing about marketing.
This is when I began my study in marketing, and specifically Direct Response Marketing. This was my first big breakthrough, realizing that my lack of success in sales and home business was the fact that I had a MARKETING PROBLEM.
Very soon after I received an email from some guy on the internet that I must have opted into his website at some point many months ago. The email intrigued me, hit some sore spots, and got me interested in the opportunity this guy was offering. It sounded very different then anything else I had ever done online or in the network marketing arena. So I decided to give him a call. It was a direct sales opportunity and I would be selling financial education seminars. The kicker was, he was an internet marketer. He understood when I started talking about direct response marketing and he told me that his primary focus was pay-per-click advertising online.
I knew this was my opportunity. Finally a marketing mentor, that could actually point me in the right direction and a business vehicle that looked very lucrative.
The bad news was that financially we had about 3-4 months left of savings to live on before we would be bankrupt. However, my wife and I had already decided that we could not live the life we had, and that we had to continue to take risks if we were to ever achieve our dreams. So we did it. We invested several thousand dollars to get started in the business, I quit the sales gig I had which I wasn’t making any money in anyways, and focused 110% of my time and energy on learning pay-per-click marketing. I knew I had to make this work, or we were finished.
Long story short… applying everything I had learned up to this point, in direct response marketing, online marketing, and sales, I had my first 5 figure income month on the internet within just 90 days!! Finally a breakthrough! I went on to do over $250,000 in income my first year marketing on the internet, applying everything that I had learned over my years of failure and struggle. I was also exposed to financial education and information that up until then I had zero knowledge about. Wealth building strategies and financial education reserved for the wealthy and well connected.
The next chapter in this story happened about a year after I initially began this venture. I had began experimenting with creating my own unique website sales funnels, for my self and my team of sales reps. They were converting incredibly well, and generating multiple streams of income for me and my team members. One of my team mates was a high level computer programmer and proposed the idea that we put something together for our team, where we could replicate the websites we create and also put all of our training and resources together into a membership website.
So with a couple hundred dollars and a ton of hard work, we put a very simple membership website together specifically designed for our team to use to help them grow their business. It started working better than we imagined. So well that we began to have reps from other network marketing companies contact us directly asking how they could use the system we put together to build their business.
That’s when we knew we had to make the platform generic, so that any distributor in any network marketing company around the world could plug into our training, our template websites, our tools and resources and begin to have the success our team was having! And with that My Lead System Pro was born.
Our philosophy from the very beginning was always to Provide More Value to Our Market. That simple philosophy allowed us to grow our membership website to over $2.2 million dollars in revenue in our first 12 months in business, serving tens of thousands of customers all around the world. Now three years later, we have served over 50,000 customers in over 100 countries, and assisted our members in generating over 1.5 million leads for their businesses and tens of millions of dollars in revenues!
My biggest joy has been to hear the personal stories of success from our many students around the world. Most who had never had success in business, most who had never marketed anything online, now making a full time living on the internet, supporting their families, paying off debts and enjoying the blessings of running their own business online.
My focus now is to continue to inspire, educate and empower people all around the world to discover and OWN their unique value and to create their very own profitable and fulfilling online business so they can have more freedom and do what they love to do. This is what drives me and keeps me moving forward through any and all obstacles that come my way.
