Just last week I was invited to a hockey game, to go see the Canucks play the Philadelphia Flyers in Vancouver. That’s pretty cool. But this was more than just a hockey game. You see I was invited to the game by one of my marketing mentors, who has now become a good friend. He secured a penthouse box suite for his friends and I was invited to join them along with my wife.

The game was awesome even though the Canucks lost. But thats not the point anyways. The really incredible thing was that I had the opportunity to hang out with some of the top marketers and entrepreneurs I know. You can’t put a price on that.

You see, one of the most valuable things you can invest in is your network.

“Your Net Worth is determined by your Network.”

I remember being at a Wealth Conference several years back and the speaker talked about how your level of income is directly proportional to your network, specifically the 5 people you hang around the most. He had us write down the incomes of those 5 people and see how our income related to theirs. Funny enough mine was very similar to theirs.  And nothing to get too excited about.

Here I am with 4 friends. All 4 of them are millionaires and extremely successful entrepreneurs.

Funny enough, my income has grown tremendously as well.

My success in business this last year has been a result of me connecting with and having an incredible network of contacts.

Its important to understand that wealth creation truly is a team sport.
